When I look back over the past five years, I still can’t quite believe how much my life has changed.
In 2019, I was preparing to open the bakery and coffee shop I had dreamed of for years. I had poured my heart into that vision — until God gently whispered something different.
It was so hard to let go. But even harder was knowing He was calling me somewhere else… even though I had no idea what that was. Not knowing was so hard for me, especially because I had no idea what was about to happen.
So before the world shut down, I made the choice to step away from opening my bakery. I walked away in obedience — trusting that the dream I was releasing would lead to something better, even if I couldn’t see it yet.
A New Kind of Calling
Fast forward to 2021, and God opened a door I never expected: foster care. That year was devoted to becoming foster parents, and in 2022, we were matched with three siblings. Later, we adopted them — and just like that, our entire world and lives changed.
Let’s just say… the vision I had of being a mom looked very different from the reality that showed up on my doorstep.
Gone were the calm, quiet, organized days.
In came chaos, trauma, healing work, endless appointments and constant noise.
I wanted to give my kids everything, because they had lost so much already.
I tried to be everything: the mom with the fancy lunches, the spotless house, the healthy dinners, the activities, the perfect routine.
But behind the scenes, I was falling apart.
I felt like I was failing — every single day.
I was exhausted, overwhelmed and constantly behind.
And once again, God spoke.
Not with shame, but with grace.
You were never meant to do it all. Lean on me. I’ve got you!
The Turning Point
I knew I couldn’t keep living that way. And more importantly, my family couldn’t either.
So I started small — with one thing I could control: meal planning.
I didn’t realize it at the time, but that one simple shift was the beginning of something bigger.
No more panicking “what’s for dinner?”
No more last-minute trips to the store.
No more cooking every night.
Instead, I felt peace starting to settle back into our home and into my life.
That one change gave me the space to think. To breathe. To reclaim just a little bit of calm.
And once I got that taste of freedom… I kept going.
Simplifying Became My Lifeline
I slowly gave myself permission to let go of the unrealistic standards.
It was okay to reheat breakfast.
It was okay if there was a little dust on the shelves.
It was okay if we didn’t do all the things.
I stopped trying to do it all — and started focusing on what actually mattered. I started being more intentional with my time and energy.
And let me tell you: when you’re raising three kids with trauma, two with therapy needs, one with learning disabilities — simplifying isn’t a luxury. It’s survival.
Some days, I still don’t have answers for why things happen or how to make it all better.
But I’ve created space — in my home and in my heart — to handle what comes.
So when I say I get it, I mean it.
I’ve lived the chaos, the guilt, the tears in the bathroom.
And I’ve also lived the healing that comes with finally choosing a simpler, more intentional way.
Introducing: The Simplified Mom
That’s why I’m here now — not just with a new name, but with a mission.
The Simplified Mom was born out of the trenches, if I’m being honest.
It’s not about doing less just to do less.
It’s about doing what matters most — with clarity, peace and purpose.
I want to help overwhelmed moms create space in their homes, rhythms in their days and peace in their minds. Because we all need some calm in our days and life.
Not with perfect systems.
But with real-life habits, grace-filled routines and a mindset rooted in purpose — not pressure.

Let’s Walk This Journey Together
I don’t have it all figured out.
But I do know this:
Simplifying saved my life.
And it gave my family back something I thought we’d lost — peace, presence, joy.
And now? I want that for you, too.
Friend, you were never meant to do it all. You were meant to live wisely, intentionally and joyfully — one simple step at a time. 💗
